"Last year's words belong to last year's language And next year's words await another voice." T S Eliot Four Quartets
Yes and this painting was painted four years ago... and I am still missing some of the joy in painting like this, but slowly figuring out the disconnect. It sneaked in through the back door with a voice constantly finding fault. When you allow this to happen, you begin to self doubt yourself as you allow them to slowly undermine the person you have become. Last year's language is to be left in last year and I am ready to move forward.
Giggling as I remember my parents reading me about the little train, "I think I can, I think I can"... but "I KNOW I CAN" because my God promises me his unfailing love all the time. It is through his direct love that my gift of art is part of me. I will not walk away from such a treasured gift.
Psalm 143:8 "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I entrust my life."
