"We are like sculptors, constantly carving out of others the image we long for, need, love or desire, often against reality, against their benefit, and always, in the end, a disappointment, because it does not fit them." Anais Nin
This morning will not be a painting morning. It is a house cleaning morning, bed sheet changing morning, dusting, etc.
If you stay so focused on "the positive” and trying to control things you might miss other important things. Sculptors start out with a large block of marble. From this point they begin cutting parts of it away before their vision comes into being and the marble emerges into something from that vision.
You are the "entire block" and you must discard what you do not need each day providing a clear path to the person you want to be.
Isn't that what our Father in Heaven does with us? He labors over us as we begin to emerge from our "block of marble"? Occasionally he has to step in and whack something off that we think we cannot live without. We are all a work in progress.
"But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations." Psalms 33:11
