Every time I think of the floods from Houston and Harvey, I remember the stories of not just the people, but those of the animals, horses, dogs, livestock... One call out on FB was from a frantic horse person that discovered a large group of horses stranded by water. A fence would have to be cut, horses had to be lead out of the area through deep water and then there needed to be horse trailers for them and a rescue place as well. But in less than 30 min, the area was full of people with all the needed help to round them up, lead them through chest high waters to the safety of the road at that time... which later flooded. The horses would have been dead in less than two hours. Trailers, people, boats, halters etc... all provided. "What's meant to be always will always find a way." as above.
