“You say you love rain, but you use an umbrella to walk under it. You say you love sun, but you seek shelter when it is shining. You say you love wind, but when it comes you close your windows. So that's why I'm scared when you say you love me.” ― Bob Marley
This is not the finished painting. Two more weeks of work followed this image. This is where I came back to my senses and began shooting the progress again. I had wipes out most of the figure and added a horse, sidewalk drawings of Lady L, a house on the hill and lots of other buried stuff under the paint peeking through the washes of color.
I know that God looks at us and feels the same way... we are not the finished piece of person he created. I am sure he wonders if we'll ever come come back to our senses. We tend to 'wipe' out parts of our own life... destroying and rebuilding as we go. This painting is doing just that. I know God loves us. Should we be scared? I think not. Acceptance.
"He covers the sky with clouds; he supplies the earth with rain and makes grass grow on the hills." Psalm 147:8
