This beauty was painted the week before Christmas a few years ago and is by far in the top ten of my favorite pieces. 24 x 30 and framed... and it is available HERE.
Everyday social media, television and movies portray love as a feeling. It is something that ranks at the top of our list. So is love a feeling that can be controlled? I am thinking it is a feeling that is responded to. If you love someone that love is unconditional and not controlled by you or your actions. It is the love we feel that we respond to with actions, be it from our spouse, our family, our children or a friend. Love is choice for us to respond to. God CHOSE to love us. We have a choice how to respond to Him. IF you feel that love, know that love and accept that love in your heart, then your actions will be filled with love in your life with others. Love is apart of God's Spirit and He shares it with us, but are we accepting it in our lives? How are you responding?
God is our only unfailing source of love.
"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:16-19
