Notice as I finished this piece up the background values are reduced as I felt they were too strong. Looking back at it now I see I should have brought some of the mid orange into the body of the horse... and not just the red.  But I still love the contrast and strength of this piece. The little added turquoise blues on the ground reflected in the mane to carry it up. Your eye as a viewer takes the entire trip in from the left top into the horse and immediately down the body of the horse and out the bottom right with the ground.  A purposeful journey set up through composition and color. 
So in ANY journey ... in EVERY day... I leave you with:

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... They both sold immediately to a Florida Collector.
