Terry and I are doing a Bible Study called The Armor of God.  We are but a few days into it and amazed at the change in our thinking patterns.  Sometimes in life each day brings about storm after storm and challenges by the gizzilions.  How do you face them?
We are studying Ephesians and there is much there that we realized we have read a hundred times, but have not read it.  Learning to dance in the storm is part of it all.  Listing vulnerabilities you have had for a lifetime and realizing you do not have to have them. Fresh thoughts to pause and pray about for us both.
This painting had a facelift before flying to The La Jolla Gallery in California.  The colors are my favorite.  
In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Ephesians 6:16

We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top.
