“When it rains like that, dark in the afternoon, you feel like you've been taken into the past.” ― Jackie Kay, Wish I Was Here
The Spring rains have been so nice lately. Rain is predicted again today. As I sit in my studio and look out the second story window, the cardinals are building nests in the trees outside as they are budded full of new green leaves.
Spring brings thoughts of new growth and new challenges. Change is blooming in the air. The painting is full of the spring colors and that is why I chose it. I would love to know what colors are part of your life. Every one of us is affected by color in our daily life.
Blues and violets lead the calm in my life. Those are the colors you find in my bedroom and bath area. The bath is orchid! Reds and oranges bring energy into my life. (I have an orange utility room.) The rest of our home is in shades of grey and I use color throughout the rooms with paintings, pillows and accents.
I started getting a daily email from Seedbed Daily and today's lesson was based around, "Once we begin to generate our own worth, it is a never ending slavery to maintain it. Our worth must come from beyond ourselves."
When you begin to put thought to those words it really sinks in. Our true worth is only in God's eyes, not in man's eyes.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
