“The things you do for yourself are gone when you are gone, but the things you do for others remain as your legacy.” ― Kalu Ndukwe Kalu
This will be the new change... I will probably only blog once a week, maybe twice if things are happening. I want to share more in less time.  I am helping a friend as she begins something she has dreamed about for years. Too soon to share the details, but her commitment to God and waiting till it was His timing and not hers, is amazing testimony in itself.
I believe always in giving and sharing of the gifts God has created in you. As a teacher, I love watching students grow and learn and bloom with life.  My friend is only ten years younger than I am, but I am so excited about her upcoming journey and realizing how many lives she will touch with her plans. I am honored to be a part of her foundation as she lays it out carefully under prayer.
Made me take a deep breath and think about things from the 'other side' when I am gone. If I never left the safety of being safe at home, no one would really know me.  Almost sounds like a life wasted.  Being scared or afraid to take chances leaves you in the same place... frozen and not moving forward. Each of us has been given gifts to use and if we use those gifts we most certainly will be leaving a strong legacy of love behind us.
I promise to update the journey with her as it unfolds.  Meanwhile on my front, we are "T Minus" 30 days and counting to be moved out of our house and of now, still not sure where we are going. I trust Lord, I trust in you.  You will reveal our path as we need to know it.
Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.   2 Peter 1:4 NIV

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
