Did you know that Thomas Edison had 1000 failed attempts before inventing the lightbulb?
Have you ever just wanted to give up on something you were trying to do? I know I have. I am not a quitter and it really takes something I have repeatedly tried to do for me to walk away. I do not ever remember giving up but once or twice in my entire life. The why for me is simple. I know when I question God about good coming from my feeble attempts to accomplish something... I need to stop questioning and start praying for Him to step in and lead the way. I cannot do anything without Him being apart of my life and actions. Took a lot of head banging to get here but I did arrive.
When you hit that wall I want you to remember you cannot do it without the Lord. God is there to walk with us through fire if need be and sometimes the trials we face seem like endless pain and suffering, but He will carry us through them. Trying to do it without Him is head banging.
So when you look at a situation to evaluate it, maybe you need to have more trust. Do not accept only what is seen. We are made stronger by the trials we struggle through in life. If you are a believer you KNOW when this is happening. You learn not to give up or give in. You learn to trust in Him and he will show you the way. God's hand is at work.
My confirmation verse is "Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.…" Proverbs 3:5-6 I think it was written JUST for me sometimes as a constant reminder.
May this be your LIGHT BULB MOMENT!
Philippians 4:12-13 ESV
I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
