“Christmas doesn't come from a store, maybe Christmas perhaps means a little bit more....”
― Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!
Christmas Eve at our house this afternoon and early evening. Our adult children and their families come with their little ones...except for our eldest grandson who is 18... but the rest are six and under... 6, 3, 1 and two months. We are blessed to have our family near. We will share chili, salad, desserts and have a fun gift exchange. Morgan and I play our guitars and we have a family sing along. Family traditions carry on through the years.
Terry and I will make a late service at church and take communion together. Our hearts and lives are full as tomorrow is Christmas. For all the years before Terry retired from American, he always had to work Christmas. So for us this is extra special to spend the day together tomorrow.
Wherever you are this holiday season I pray it is in a safe place and that you are happy. I wish you the joy of love, peace, hope and happiness in the year ahead. Remember you cannot find happiness... it finds you when you are giving to others.
"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel" Isaiah 7:14 NIV
Merry Christmas. Laurie
