“I am coming to terms with the fact that loving someone requires a leap of faith, and that a soft landing is never guaranteed.” ― Sarah Dessen, This Lullaby
Nothing in life is guaranteed but taxes and death. Heard my dad say this often when I was little.. but I learned quickly how true it was. Even death does not avoid the IRS. UGH.
So, when did you take a chance in life lately? What was it? Anything from a move across country, a new job, a new store, a new friend, a new route to work... it could be anything. Our leap of faith was this multigenerational family. Still not smooth but getting better. Terry and I go to bed and night and smile remembering the day. We have been through all those days and trials already. Watching our daughter and her husband face new trials in life and raising their daughters...wow, you have to live in faith, not just leap in faith!
Leaping in faith requires leaving something behind as you leap. I would love to know if you did this lately. You have to let go of things to open your hands to receive new things. Share with me!
Faithfulness springs forth from the earth, and righteousness looks down from heaven. Psalm 85:11
