"Mary?"  Honking on in JOY! Living in God's Moment Not Mine!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The workshop with Carla is FUN.  These were actually done on the app Pages 53 with their 'implement' that is like a pen/pencil/paintbrush/marker/ etc.   The lesson was just carried over from manual sketching to using the tools on my ipad.  Fun. Really fun.

There is an amazing amount of self confidence building with these small sketches of line and color.  I know the power of God within is working for me because I am not in the way of the energy or the process.  I am allowing the joy to flow from my heart through my hands.

Get out of the way.  I have to tell myself to stop controlling and get out of the way of not just joy, but peace and contentment.  Terry and I were reading in Luke today about Mary and Martha. Jesus  had stopped at their home to teach. Martha ran around like I would...typical hostess with the mostest.  Making sure everyone had fresh drink and snacks...and yes she was glaring at sister Mary that was not doing a darn thing to help. I would be glaring at Terry who would be sitting in the midst of everything taking it all in and having fun. Martha felt the same way and she said to Jesus..."Mary is not helping me... tell her to get up and help."     Read what Jesus answered below.

We do it to ourselves.  We get tangled up and tied up and worried about everything.  I want to say NOT THIS GIRL... not any more, but I know I will fail and have to pick myself up again.  If I can just start doing it, again and again...living and enjoying JUST THIS MOMENT... just maybe I can make it a habit or a way of life.

Try it... free flying...living in God's moment and not yours.

Luke 10:38-42New International Version (NIV)
At the Home of Martha and Mary
As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.  She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, “Lord, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”
“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, 42 but few things are needed—or indeed only one.[a] Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.”

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
