The days after Christmas are often a let down to people who ride through the season on adrenalin. As soon as the wrapping paper is stuff into the trash bags and the dishes are washed from the dinner...football rages on TV in one room and Miracle on 34th Street is on in the other room, the blues begin to set in. All the build up to Christmas is over. How many people do you know that take down the tree that evening or the next day on the 26th. They are ready to 'move on' I want the joy to continue to blossom and grow in my heart... it will be a year before I am back here again, so I must kept the season alive in my heart. Enjoy my Winter Blues Horse Painting!
We are beginning the 12 days of Christmas that take us to January 5th. It is not time to stop celebrating. This joy lasts year round if you allow it to be. Epiphany is on the 6th of January. If you want to read about it, Click here.
Our family continues to celebrate the season through the 5th of January and on the sixth we begin to put away the decorations and take down the tree. I have a friend that leaves her tree up and she changes out decorations for the seasons. Not a bad idea!
What ever you have planned in the coming weekend, enjoy it. Make the best of it. Find your joy, your peace and your love.
Then Herod called the Magi secretly and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, “Go and search carefully for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him. Matthew 2:7-8
