BRRRR... I can feel the cold. Our temps in the Dallas area are bouncing from in the mid forties during the day with a predicted high of 68 on Christmas. Might be why so many people are falling sick with the indecisive weather.
I continue to be thankful that i am not sick like I was last year. We are praying my Son in Law through the next few days as he was exposed to the flu. Had to be by his boss too. With our daughter 8 months pregnant we all want to say to his boss, WHY did you go to work sick? WHY did you feel like you had to share it in a room for of people at a meeting? Why could you not think about others first? You actions affect the lives of others.
Peace in the world begins with each of us. Individually we are a single person, but each of us holds the power to begin a ripple of peace. Remember the pebbles we threw in the ponds and the circles that spread out around it? We can do that with Peace in our lives, or Joy or anything. (Just not the flu please.) Be the first to share a smile. Be the first to say good morning with that smile. Drop the feelings of anger or frustration. They are doing absolutely no good to you or anyone else. You have the power to choose how you feel.
Feel unlimited love from God, Feel his boundless compassion for you. Reflect this peace and love to others and begin that ripple effect. Let's do the same with the joy of this season. Let it ripple forth in your life and take it into 2015.
And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. 10 But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Luke 2:8-12.
