Now that fall is officially here and ebbing into some cold nights and days, I decided to share this bright Sunrise Run Contemporary Horse Painting.   Can't you just feel the warmth of the sunlight here?  The rays traveling across space into the earth's atmosphere and are warming your face and your arms.

If you think about it, it is God's light and God's warmth reaching you... even if through my painting. God always gives to each of us freely our gifts.  We either use them or lose them.  Same with the sunlight... you either enjoy it today or you ignore it because you are so busy with life.  How about those gifts?  Patience, gentleness, acceptance, understanding, generosity, hospitality... the list goes on. It is up to us to accept those gift and pass them on to others. 

Think of the warmth of those sunrays reaching out and do it with your gifts. The love you give will be the love your receive back. 

 May this day be a blessing to you.

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
