This is the second of the two horse paintings done with the orange sherbet laid in background. I love the rusty red that flowed through this painting. All the colors of what I see outside appearing in brilliance on the surface. Every now and then I have to do an acrylic painting. It will be back to Oils tomorrow.
Long walks in the morning have been delicious. Cool enough to wear a jacket but then by mid morning... getting warm again. This has to be my favorite time of the year.
“At no other time (than autumn) does the earth let itself be inhaled in one smell, the ripe earth; in a smell that is in no way inferior to the smell of the sea, bitter where it borders on taste, and more honey sweet where you feel it touching the first sounds. Containing depth within itself, darkness,
something of the grave almost.”
