Bright Yellows with the Texas heat this week. In the studio horses are gathering as I am back full time painting... or almost!  We have 100 plus temps that are to be falling into the mid nineties this coming weekend.  The long term forecast is for a rainy fall... WHERE IS THE RAIN???

Saving Grace was entitled so because of God's saving grace for each of us. So much turmoil in the world along with the turmoil in our everyday lives. It is only through His Saving Grace that make it through each minute, or it is for our family.  This small painting is a tribute to the summer and the heat and the knowledge of His saving grace working for each of us no matter what is happening everywhere.

Terry is the saving grace for our trees. We are still nurturing last year's planted Red Oak and Crepe Myrtle's and this year Burr Oak and third Crepe Myrtle. They all have different watering schedules and he has been a champ keeping up with it. All those roses we nurtured indoors through the winter last year have thrived in their new beds and I have had roses all summer.  Heading into September soon, I long for those cooler nights back in the sixties.... I know the cooling grace is on its' way and pray dearly for the rainy grace to be with it. We are in a huge drought and have been since 2008.

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
    from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.
 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
    the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
    the Spirit of counsel and of might,
    the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—
and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah 11:1-3

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

It has to head to Mirada Fine Art in about three or four weeks... meanwhile it will be banished to the room with the dehumidifier in it.  Stay tuned at Mirada Fine Art with Steve Sonnen for more details about what is happening to this "crowd" from my Good People Series.  In fact, drop Steve an email and ask to be added to the mailing list for this special gathering.  Good food, good friends and good art.   What more could you want?
