Blue Mist
This is a painting completed last year. It is indeed available on my website with close up shots, and if you love it and want to make an offer, please email me. It is in my top ten favorite list for the past two years. I have the photos I took as I worked on this baby and was looking at them yesterday and thought... how did I do it? It is the Holy Spirit working for sure through my hands. I often feel I am on a journey without knowing the destination. Having to just sit back and not try to control is always the hardest thing for me.
For some reason this past week a bible verse or rather an entire Psalm has filled my every thought. As I recited it over and over in my head I knew I was missing a line but could not figure it out and turned to my bible to find it. This verse is often learned at an early age. Lady L shivers at the 'valley of the shadow of death'. I found I was missing the phrase 'thou anointest my head with oil".
So my mantra is "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."
You could use this for the times you need to quiet your brain from racing; it could be used when you are discouraged; it will bring relief when you are sad. The words fill me with an amazing strength. I know He is filling us with His peace.
As you read the verse below in print... 'He maketh me to lie down in green pastures'... why 'maketh me'? Think of all those times you are spinning, running and doing and not taking time for Him. That would be the time He might want to say... STOP... LIE DOWN, you have everything you need. ie green pastures and the promise that you shall not want for anything. Please read these words this morning and I will be praying they call to your heart and soul.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
