San Jacinto River Crossing in Progress
8 x 5 feet Oil on Canvas.
This is the second painting for this Houston client. Again I have covered the back with a soft layer of Parchment Acrylic to keep anything not covered from sparkling white out to the viewers eyes. I am wanting to keep this painting different than the other painting. These are for a law office and will be hanging close so I do not want them to be paw paints of each other. The client like the horses in a prior painting entitled The Watering Hole (24 x 36 and at Mirada Fine Art in Denver) so I used a similar patterning for the composition and added a fifth horse to vary things.
“For, “All people are like grass, and all their glory is like the flowers of the field; the grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of the Lord endures forever.” And this is the word that was preached to you.”
1 Peter 1:24-25
