I promised a note about the Baptism give away... Beth Lenderman from OK won the big print. In my hurry and excitement putting it up on the blog, I worded it a bit differently and some of you thought EVERYONE would get a print. I cannot send out that many large prints. The postage alone would be a month of groceries for me!  So I am sending out smaller prints to everyone!  When I post these they are always a drawing for the print or painting. I will be careful to explain it... so EVERYONE won this time!  Watch for more coming up soon.

"I wanna piece..."

Seems like that is the norm now.. give me... I want some. 
What we do not grasp is the more we stock up on the pieces the less peace we truly have.

When you see rain falling outside the window with the roll of thunder in the distance, you begin to realize there is more than just you and your world. There is a connection with Him. The rain cleans the air and saturates the ground; it provides water for animals and our lakes and for us.  Each single drop of that rain has a purpose.

God's spirit is at work... balancing out nature, feeding the needs of our environment.  It provides a sense of comfort and completion and that gentle rain will bring a peace to your heart.

Time to walk away from all of it and realign your thoughts to conversations with Him. Let go of all the pieces. That is the only way to His peace and a peace of soul and mind for you.

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint.  This would not be a painting I would do today, but the goal was to capture the spirit of the first painting. Laurie     © Laurie Justus Pace     Graphics One Design 2010 My Website   Thinking ahead to the Thanksgiving celebration next week, I remembered back to those previous dinners that I cooked, served, ate quickly, and cleaned up.  This is how I felt.  It is probably strange...even for me but I had the best fun sketching it out and painting it. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins.  She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness.  My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'.    My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top. It was not like they were not sweet enough as they were, but at her small kitch...
