'Summer Pony'
24 x 12 Oil on Canvas
This is posting late because I hit the wrong date and it is Saturday today, but it is not August 1st. See what being retired does? Better Late than Never...here is the blog I wrote early this morning. I posted it to publish at seven a.m. but on the wrong day.
I am up and preparing for a major paint day today. I am working on pieces for the Colorado Gallery. My canvas shipment arrived late Thursday, but I wanted to play a bit yesterday and that I did. Painting for fun is always very expressive and I usually like what comes out.... and that was Summer Pony above. It is a new technique on canvas that I am exploring, and I hope you enjoy viewing as much as I enjoyed painting it.
We went fishing yesterday morning. We were on a pier next door to our house on the main lake. The breeze was phenomenal; the fishing not as great. We fished for about an hour or more. Caught two turtles and about 10 fish, but nothing was a keeper. I think we have to go out on the big lake to do the keeper things. There were times when I cast so far I could not see my red and white bobber in the water. I could only go by feel if the line went under.
That sort of reminded me of course of life that we don't truly know the road ahead, we can only go by 'feel' for today on how to live and not borrow trouble in anticipating tomorrow.
Have a great day today! (Yes I know it is the weekend, it is Saturday.)
