The Painting: This painting developed and went wild as I built the layers higher and higher adding the Spots to my girls!
The Thought: They spoke on grace and blessings at church yesterday. I know I write about that often. But when I thought about it today, it is His Grace that is ours as we face so many challenges. He is there with us... and from each of those challenges comes blessings. There is the Breakfast Club Sunday School group that goes to the local cafe for Sunday breakfast and it was here the discussion continued on the sermon today.
"Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree, planted in his vineyard, and he went to look for fruit on it, but did not find any. So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?'
" 'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then cut it down.' " Luke 13: 6-9
We all get to be like that non bearing fig tree...and we need others to give to us a bit of encouragement and gifts just to get ours jump started. If you are blessed, it is time to share those blessing with others.
What can you share today with someone?
