The Painting: I debated whether to put this one up. The colors are so intense and this doesn't show it properly. I may post it again later once I get a good picture in good light.
The Thought: When I take a photo of a painting, the light matters. As an artist I do not have all the photography equipment that would make it nice, so I do what Peter Togel, husband of Conni Togel, www.Charisma-art.com taught me to do. Simply take it in natural light. The picture above was in the studio at 10 at night.. not good light.
I began to think about that and with the "light" being the most important element to viewing the painting at its best... that would be true in life with all situations. View them in the "best light". That light of course is God's light. With the worst of situations, stop and regroup and view it in the "Best Light" It works on situations, people, unplanned or planned events...it works on everything. There is always a positive way to view things.... viewing them in the best light.
Yesterday we moved our boats out to Mt Vernon. We had to stop at Royce City and re-tie them down. Terry had the second one piggy back on top of the first one. We have 18 ft DART catamarans. They fly on the water... and definitely try to fly off the trailer on the windy day we had today. We piled both dogs in the truck and headed off east. We stopped at a small park just before arriving in Saltillo and allowed them out to water and potty... and then back in the truck to Sheriff Paul's house. We had to literally tie Paddy down in the back seat as he wanted to eat all Sheriff Paul's dogs, his cows, his horses and his donkeys. Paddy is a bit aggressive as dogs come. He loves people but nothing else on four legs. It was a fast trip over and back home.
This is not our boat in the picture, but it is a picture of how our boat works on the water.
We have a blue boat and a dark red/orange boat.
Terry has had to stay quiet most of the time. His pneumonia is still not clear. We are on round FOUR of antibiotics. He has still not been released for work. Taking the boats out today was a major outing for someone that has been resting for two months. He wants to be well for the summer and sailing again. Come join us this summer! (It is not for the weak of heart.)
