The Painting: Crisp colors that reflect the new chill in the air sailing in the early fall evening. The winds are strong out of the north and it makes sailing glorious! So the colors I chose reflect the feelings of being out on the lake with the cooler winds.

The Thought: First day up...I am ready to go back to bed and I just got here. I do not think that is the best sign...but lower temperature all day yesterday helped.

My brain is not in full gear this morning but I prayed heartfully and God knows where I am. Heartfully. Word spell check says that does not exist, but for me it does. To have ones heart fully open to God. The intake and exchange of His love and grace for this day. To have ones heart fully filled with His presence to the point that you truly pass it on to others through out the day.

Be heartfully good this day and be filled with His gracious love.

That poor little 8 x 10 pony was loved by a company to do very large prints and it was not here for me to even use to scan... so I created something with the same heart, a kindred spirit. The underlays are pages from a western book and then torn papers of different varieties were added along with stains of paint and purposeful areas of paint. This is how I felt. It is probably strange...even for me but I had the best fun sketching it out and painting it. We lost another dear family member this week. She has celebrated her 'continuation' day and is now with her mom and dad and her other cousins. She leaves behind a family that will always celebrate her gentleness. My aunt was special to all of us. She loved each of us dearly for who we were and was always ready with a hug or a 'good job'. My memories are of breakfast pastries smeared with butter on top.
