The Painting: This was truly a favorite with the play of light behind the morning clouds. We used to live in Justin, Texas and it was pretty flat out there and not many trees. The horses were every where around us though and when I would get up at sunrise and sit on the back porch, this is what I saw every morning. I miss the country! This is oil on Canvas painted back in 2005.
The Thought: Another song is playing in my brain... one from youth group 1969. Several of us would go and play our guitars at the USO in Dallas for the troops on Sunday. Candy Moser Hagan, now a well known Opera singer, and I would track downtown with our guitars and perform. We also sang up near Lake Texoma at the base up there for services in the church. We stayed busy and we loved sharing our music.
"We are one in the Spirit, we are one in the Lord" is a line from one of those old songs shifting around in my brain this morning. I encourage you today to be one in the Spirit. May His grace abound through you to those you meet in this day.
