The Thought: Obsession with time. That is my huge issue these days. There are often not enough minutes in the day to complete my list. Yes, I made the list, God did not. It is "Laurie-made" not God made.
While Terry was on vacation this past week, we had several philosophical discussions. What would happen if I chunked it all and spent my day totally in the word and in prayer? How long before they seize our home? And then the bank starts garnishing Terry's paycheck to cover the college loan we are paying on for number two son....
Seems to be necessary to find that balance. I am obviously lacking in that area. Our world today seems obsessed with using days, saving minutes and stuffing more daylight hours in a day. We have all the time in the world but run around acting like there is not enough time. We must stop living on our time and start living on His time. God created time, He rules time and He transcends time. When you feel frustrated sit quietly and real Psalm 90.
To know the true value of time, you must have a true view of eternity.
