A Painting A Day: This is the third in my light series of flowers. The beginnings of each of these are a study in values and light done in off shades of acrylic paint, totally different than final hues. This allows me to study the painting as I begin to pull in the oils by palette knife. First layer is a charcoal sketch blocking in the composition. Second layer is acrylic in blue, black, orange and white. Third, the final layer is oil pulled with the palette knife.

My Thought for the Day:

Okay, as you read this message this morning ...STOP. Stop and think about why you are here... here on this earth. Here with this family and friends... what is the true purpose and meaning of your life?

You are made up of years of daily experiences that have molded you into who you are today. Each experience gives you insight into the next days of your life. Think of each day as a building block strengthening you to become who you are. Your daily education is your experience... your life lessons you might say. From these experiences you live and hopefully you live a life with purpose and meaning. Do you?

God offers divine wisdom to all of us that are open to receive it. Struggling does not always have to be the process of life experience. Struggling makes us stronger, but I would guess if you were in line with the Lord on things, you would not struggle as much.

Look to those new experiences this day as you live and accomplish new achievements. May they be blessed today and in the future.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
