Only four hours of sleep will lead to a long day at the easel. I have been up for an hour and am getting ready to paint. I will have to stay concentrated and not stray from what I have ahead.

I had a challenge from Anne Stark who raises Whippets in Ohio, to paint them. So you will see a new series of Whippets coming from my studio. They are majestic to watch running and are very similar to Greyhounds. Their swiftness is so close to the beauty of the horse running so I am excited about taking this on.

DASH Diet. That is what they have my Mother on, the DASH DIET. Daily Approaches to Stop Hypertension. It will lower blood pressure in 14 days. Wonderful suggestions and recipes to go with it. A perfect guide for changing your diet. After conferencing with the dietitian, they decided with the exception of some of her lunch choices (Soup) Mom eats very well. Last night I prepared Wild Alaskan Salmon flown in early in the morning fresh, with organic broccoli and summer squash. We ate on our new plates!





We have a DASH diet for our lives too. But it is called ACTS instead of DASH. Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving and Supplication. This is all part of prayer and ties directly into our guide, the Bible. The Bible contains wonderful suggestions, stories and lessons for your life. ACT upon it and practice daily the ACTS of Prayer.

Off to paint and pray.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those...
