A BITE OF APPLE
My Buddy and Me Series

Oil Painting by Laurie Justus Pace

8 x 10 x 2 inches

This is my fourth in the MY BUDDY and ME series. Prompted by old photos of my grandson, this painting sort of evolved on its own! The sweet innocence of a little one in the sunlight is usually enough, but as this one eats his bite of apple, he has a buddy wanting a nibble too!

This is Terry (He is my hubby, the big one) playing Swords with Jonathan, the little one, our grandson.
More Sword Action play. Jonathan came to spend most of Saturday with us.

Jon had just opened his new sword. He has been waiting since Dec 26th to see it.

A game of chess as things quieted down. This was always part of life when Jon lived with us. He and Terry played chess every day.

Well, life continues here in our little 'Money pit". We are still cleaning up massive amts of dust and dirt, but the new heater works like a champ.

We were delighted with a long visit with our grandson yesterday. I think I mentioned once we all lived together for about three years. That was a highlight in our lives to be apart of his life daily. We spent hours learning to ride bicycles, how to swing on a swing, playing with Victoria, Ryan, Jacob and enjoying life in the country. Riding bikes around the circle where we lived and walking through town to the main playground next to city hall. These are memories to be treasured.

Yesterday he spend most of his time with his grandfather, who he calls BAMPA. They are pretty much a duo and do not need words to communicate. I love watching them together. Justin and Jan and I made dinner and enjoyed the time we had to visit while the two played together.

Our love surrounds our grandson even when we are separated from him. The Love of God surrounds all of us and keeps us with in his grace. May you share in the love of the Lord in your day today.

Grace,
Laurie

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Romans 8: 35,37

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
