A Painting a Day

Not much to say this morning...have a blank canvas before me but think I am going to take a break today and head back to bed (it is raining here) and read a good book, or sleep...it is only five thirty in the morning.

Maybe later I can be creative. This thickly painted canvas has eight or nine layers of paint on it. Not sure how long it will take to dry to ship or cure out enough for a final varnish...wow...but I layered trying to achieve the color balance ...it is something I feel as I work. Often I turn away for a minute or two and turn back to get a fresh view and then attack it again. ENJOY

I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years? You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years.
