A Painting A Day

Had my first day of students back at the studio yesterday. We reviewed line, shape, color, texture, space, value and form. Those are the "ingrediants to making art". Next week we will jump into action with the fall studies!
Meanwhile painting continues. This is Holbein Duo Oils on Masonite Board. It really paints so much differently that canvas. I will be painting on masonite again today so we will see what evolves. No clue on what I am painting yet either.
It will be a busy weekend with our oldest son dropping in and his son, our nine year old grandson. I imagine my diet is out the door. Hope each of you stays safe over the holiday weekend.
Grace,
Laurie
"For in this hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience. Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with sighs too deep for words." Romans 8:24-27
