Exhausted
Oil on Canvas  SOLD  by Laurie Pace

Exhausted.  This figurative painting with my palette knife was created back in 2008 after preparing Thanksgiving dinner. Hubby took a photo of me sitting on a kitchen chair with the red pot on the stove. I used it as my sketch I did not do prior!!!   I had so much fun painting this!!  Never did another one like, should I do more?

James 1:3  "Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance."

No life exists that has not been tested. Some of us are tested  and are able to push on to grow past it. Some of us are tested and hit in rapid fire over several years. I am still there. Early this morning at 12:05 I was wide awake trying to push thoughts away to return to sleep. The room began to fill with prayer and Bible verses from my mind and cry, but the shadows seemed full of them. I was up for about two hours.  I read scripture, I prayed, I wrote in a notebook I keep by my bed. I fought not to cry as it complicated life too much breathing to go back to sleep. This is a rare thing for me. I have learned from the past three years I have to let go of things. 100% let go. The well worn phrase of LET GO AND LET GOD.... was not working.  Laying it beneath the cross was not working, Reciting in my head my favorite scripture readings was not working.

I put on "Rainfall" from Spotify. 10 hours of rainfall. I picked up my note book and only wrote four or five lines, I then dug up new scripture to read, made notes to write it out today, turned off my light and fell asleep about two a.m.  Normally I am up by 5, but it was 6:30 this morning. The Lord provided and today is here. My focus is on my sweet husband right now and not on the family member that is lost alone and on the streets by choice. I gave a valiant try, perhaps my hundred and first try.... to help them again over the last 400 days just to have them not follow through on their commitment to follow up with their physician. As a mother this is a hard task to finally release the rest of it to the Lord, when you find your family member constantly arriving at your door, worn and torn but they simply will not get the appropriate help that is available.

My help comes through the Lord, and only He knows what is and will be.   Elle

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
