Well, I debated on a lesson, but things are really popping with the holiday ahead. So we will miss two weeks because of what you will read about below.  I am testing a pumpkin pie today made with heavy cream coconut milk in place of the dairy milk in all the other recipes. Will have to let you know how it comes out.  ALSO, Terry and I are going to make some homemade cinnamon raisin bread to eat this week.  A testing for it too. THEN I had this crazy ideas after just playing with acrylics this weekend in front of the fire with cold wind blowing and the threat of sleet... why not do 12 Giveaways NOW as my 12 Days of Christmas sharing and giving to you.  If you enter ONCE during the 12 days that is all to keep you name in the hat.  Below all this info is the winner of last week's pony, so keep reading. Rare Cat Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Rare Cat Painting  SOLD  I came across this painting in my archives of images. I painted it in the summer of 2008 or 2009. I do not paint many cat paintings at all. Probably have done four in my life.  I am not a cat owner... especially not with Paddy Dog.  We have cats in our families...our extended families. All of my immediate family has dogs!  BUT it was fun painting this one.  We have to shake up our rules and ways on occasion and  climb out of the box. In that day you will say:  “Give praise to the Lord, proclaim his name;     make known among the nations what he has done  and proclaim that his name is exalted.  Sing to the Lord, for he has done glorious things;     let this be known to all the world.  Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion,  for great is the Holy...

Golden Rod and Mirada Fine Art Gallery, Denver with Contemporary Equine Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Golden Rod  30 x 30 inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD  This was one of the show openers at my Denver show that sold after the article came out in Western Art Collector featuring my work and the show at Mirada Fine art. What I did not realize is what a special gallery Mirada truly is.  When I was putting together the article on Mirada for Visual Language and Steve Sonnen sent me the editorial, I was pleased to read about the gallery and see everything.  If you missed it in the magazine, click here to see it. I was so honored by Steve's words: "Mirada features award-winning artists from across the globe. The stunning artwork at Mirada has been meticulously assembled. Although the artists come from across the globe originally, Mr Sonnen selected works that embody the spirit of the region. Mirada’s unique settling helped lure this...

In Progress Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace

© G.O.D. Laurie Justus Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 In progress....  24 x 36 inches Oil on Canvas.  This is as far as I pushed this week. I may have to wait until the weekend to finish this painting. I have named it North by Northwest but have no clue what or where it is going.  Do you ever feel that way in life? Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Happy Birthday Kelly Pace

Today is Kelly Pace's birthday. Enjoy the love story below. This past weekend I was blessed with several hours of our son Morgan working with me in the studio as he painted something special for his wife Kelly for her Birthday.  So today's blog will be sharing Morgan's incredible work.  Morgan can paint... really paint! When he arrived he had something in his head and immediately sought out the canvas and coated it with a strong acrylic layer.  Then the oils came out. The brush became at first still and then relaxed in his hand and the spirit of the paint grew in the composition.   © G.O.D. Morgan Haskell Pace      Graphics One Design 2013 Heart  28 x 56 inches Oil on Canvas. SOLD  I really wish Morgan would paint again and sell his work. His great grandfather, Granddaddy Haskell was an artist, and between those genes and mine, he has a gift. Right now he is busy with life and  ...
