Painting in Progress

 24 x 48  Oil 

 This is the journey of black and white and seeing how to solve the equation in one of my horse paintings. If you noticed on my front page the image is black and white with color pulled through compliments of photoshop.  Also this way on this blog and my professional facebook page.  It was time to climb out of the box and see if I could even do this. I had several emails about it. 

 Challenge yourself today to smile at everyone.  Share a gusty 'hello' with that smile. You never know when you can make a difference to just one person.  Many people are suffering from different things that weigh them down.  They are under deep emotional and physical tension. I know I get that way, don't you?  A simple smile is a comfort... a signal that someone has reached out to connect with you in a joyful way. 
"Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and through grace gave us eternal comfort and good hope, comfort your hearts and strengthen them in every good work and word."

Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Gathering... The Good People are Gathering. Figurative Palette Knife Painting by Texas Artist Laurie Pace
