Tomorrow the cooler weather will arrive . We will at least be in the fifties during the day and in the low forties at night. I am ready for it and perfectly timed with Thanksgiving.   Much to be thankful for with this special American holiday.  We are thankful every day for waking up and walking with the Lord. It will not be our enti...

Falling for You

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Ocean View Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Ocean View was painted about four years ago as a commissioned piece of a family's two dogs.   Thanksgiving week is here.  I am working on preparing Canvas to be delivered to a new gallery in Santa Fe. Throw in creating some books for the gallery and working on WAOW things, along with painting and bill paying... I am busy most waking hours.  Last night we were treated to all night rain with rumbling thunder and dancing lightning adding to the rain concert. We had a on and off time to sleep through it all. It was noisy.   Matthew 10:20 "For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you." Busy busy the next few weeks! Have only purchased a few gifts for the grandchildren. We have decided we give them things all year long that Christmas is going to be toned down a bit.  ...

Between the Lines

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Close up from  "Between the Lines" Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   The close-up above is a small section of a much larger work—a   3 x 4 ft painting built with layers of thick Holbein oils . Created in the tradition of my   Painted Pony Pulls , this was the last large piece I painted for Mirada Fine Art’s special exhibition in   February 2023 . Below, you’ll find the full painting. You can also view it on the gallery’s website at   miradafineart.com The pulls in this piece are especially   bold, thick, and intensely layered . The palette knife has always been where my heart lies as an artist. There’s something mesmerizing about working with rich, buttery Holbein oils—mixing, carving, and layering them into   ¼- to ½-inch deep pulls   down the canvas. The result is both tactile and visually lush. These works drip with color, and I s...

After the Afternoon Rains

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 After the Afternoon Rains Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Treasures of Color!  The Painted Ponies in small size back a few years.  I imagine them on a Florida beach!  These are created with Pulls of paint of many colors.  "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the L ord  your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9 We have been working on the fireplace and still a bit more work to go. We were told we have a bad winter coming on.  I will wait and see.   They are predicting a winter like we had in 2013 and early 2014.  That was 13 inches of solid ice on all the roads. Deep snow on top of it.  Are you ready for winter?  I cannot believe Thanksgiving is upon us! I am not ready for that either. Are you? Elle Shop other Available Artwork.  Follow the...

River Bank

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 River Bank  Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Good morning. .. Exciting news coming I think!!! But I have to wait to share it.  More art, more paintings and lots of knife work and color!   Romans 12:2 - "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Sunday evening and I spent this afternoon pulling out 7 or 8 canvas that I will begin painting on tomorrow.  I will share as I can. I am going to pull my easel outside to the patio and paint out there. Will not be warm enough till 10 or so in the morning but we have a bit of summer hitting for the next 5-6 days and I want to be outside. The leaves will be turning soon and we will have piles of beautiful mess in the backyard and a lot of acorns fro...
