Let Go and Let God

This has to be one of my Mom's favorite lines. I have heard it my entire life. When someone says it enough it begins to creep into your every day life.  Literally throw up your hands when you are frustrated and let go and let God.

Another beautiful morning of blue skies and clouds and thankfully no smoke. Yesterday was  a day with backed up smoke from the forest fires south of us. Even last night as I took the dogs out at ten the air smelled and tasted of wood burning fires.
Is it let go and let God here too?  Yes it is. His plan is not my plan, and His way is not my way.  I have learned that many times over again.  He will care for us just as He cares for the birds of the air. The forest fires still rage south east of us and the community is rallying around our volunteer fire departments. We all live in rural communities. These firefighters are working "voluntarily" 24 hours a day.  It is part of God's grace to us through them as the continue to save homes and properties from total destruction.

It becomes our responsibility in life to reach out and give help to others in the world in the same as our Father gives to us.  We are a creation and extension of His love and we have the ability to share this with others.

We are at the end of the season for our hummingbirds. They are all flying south.  Vicki has told me every year to make sure I take down the feeders or you can cripple the birds leaving on time as they will stay around and eat instead of continuing their journey south.   We have to let go and let God help them find their way. We have provided for the time of the year they need extra food from us and now we trust they will continue their journey.

Be secure in this day and know God has it all in hand.

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
