The Picture: Playing in paint again with layer of acrylic and varnish. The background are wipes of quinacridone Orange and then subsequent layers of whites and different values of the orange, tinted with bits of green gold and red.

The Thought: At this moment I could close my eyes and go back to sleep. Not a bad idea. Yesterday I was up at five and road into Grapevine with Terry to meet my daughter. We did the "open open open" in front of Khols and then made a few other shopping stops along the way. I anticipated my eldest needing sheets for his son's new bed and Stacey and I bought sheets, blankets etc to make it nice. I cannot wait to go and visit.

Often we make preparation ahead for what is happening in our lives. The main trick would be to make preparation spiritually for lies ahead. God wants us always ready to serve and give of ourselves to others.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those...
