Between Two Points

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Between Two Points  Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Usually I would tell the full tale here, but I posted this painting on my blog on my website.  Painted around 2003-2004 era, you can find out more about it's journey and who is who in the painting. Just click on it and it will take you to today's post on my website blog.  We were blessed with early morning showers starting around 3 am. We had watched the areas north and northeast of us be hammered by high winds and lots of hail late yesterday afternoon.  We had nothing... Finally around eight we had a wet back concrete...but not all the rain... just light drizzle.   It poured rain with loud thunder and bright lightening from 3 am till well after 7am.  I was dancing around the house totally thrilled we had moisture!  Enjoy the story of Between Two Points.  I have to do both blogs, so I may ...

Red Horse

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Red Horse Oil on Canvas   SOLD   by Laurie Pace     Red Horse is a simple painting that I have always loved. I believe I shall do one similar in style to this just to loosen up again. I am working on a commissioned painting 3 x 4 ft right now and it is still all over the canvas!!! “In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” – Proverbs 16:9   When I am painting and over controlling and not allowing the my knife to create and move like a lost brush dragging the paint... things rarely turn out right. That is why it is impossible to try to control the painting until I am almost done with it. Then the wild sweeps of paint begin to change. sprinkle of rain and some wind. Praying for all friends and rough storms and loss of power.  The weekend is here. I probably will not post this weekend.  Be safe and enjoy the oncoming of f...

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Red Tulips Oil on Canvas   SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Another floral this morning!  Today is Tulips Thursday! Double T day!  Enjoy this beautiful tulip painting with this delicate blooms, and as you can tell, painted by brush not by knife!  Revelation 6:9-11 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?” Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brothers should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been. It is a heavy day following the death of Charlie Kirk. 31 years old and leaving two little children under the age of 5 and a wi...

Yellow Rose

© Laurie Pace         Graphics One Design 2025 Yellow Rose Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Yellow Rose -  The Texas state flower is the bluebonnet but the Yellow Rose of Texas is the song!!!  Where did that come from?  It became popular during the U.S. Civil War, especially among cavalry men from the south and from Texas. On YouTube  "There's a yellow rose in Texas, I'm going there to see, No other Feller knows her, Nobody known to me. She cried so when I left her, It's like to broke my heart, And if we ever meet again, We'd never walk apart. |Chorus:She's the sweetest little rosebud, That Texas ever knew, Her eyes are bright as diamonds, They sparkle like the dew; You may talk about your Clementine, And sing of Rosalee, But the Yellow Rose of Texas, Is the only gal for me.:| When the Rio Grande is flowing, The stars are shining bright, She walked along the river, On a quiet summer night: She said if you'll reme...
