Here Comes the Sun

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Here Comes the Sun Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Just in from outside and realized I need to blog this morning.  Here Comes the Sun is an explosive color horse painting with layers piling on layers. I have painted this weekend on the portrait I was working on but may have to play with color shortly!   My grandson follows Emily Frisella on Instagram and he shared it with me this morning.  I truly enjoyed her posted list for her birthday this year. The most prominent thing is I am not doing weight resistance and I need to start doing that slowly. I walk 3 miles most mornings in 45 min or less. As you know we eat a whole foods plant based diet and there are MANY athletes out there eating this way. 15 years into it now. It is time my friends. How about you? 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within ...

Morning Mist

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Morning Mist Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Morning Mist, a horse painting in movement of colors abiding and accenting the mist across the canvas.  I am currently painting... working on a small piece 8 x 10 inches of a little girl about 6 or 7 years old. She has sky blue eyes...  These smaller paintings take much more time than others.  An artist works to capture a reflection of the person/child and the essense of their sweet nature. Psalm 16:8 "I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken." Have a blessed weekend dear friends! In Sync Western Horse Painting by Elle Pace

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 In Sync Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   It is this Rusty red that makes me fall in love with this horse painting!   On the chest below where the horse's neck has a triangle of blue, you have a deep red and then a bright red and back into the depth of deep red leading to the leg. Color is definitely my addiction.  This morning I began the layout for a small painting of a precious child.  I have prepared the canvas with Gesso and then with a light coverage of dark red melded down.  There is scripture on the base and the drawing has been etched in. I had hopes of beginning but had a busy morning on a few phone calls. This is why my blog is late today!  “Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.“  —  R...

Krysta, and She is Blessed!

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Krysta Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Krysta.... Today she is a young mom of two and happily married! I have loved watching my students grow up  and have children of their own!  It is truly a beautiful time in life!  I painted her one other time testing out watercolor surface and she was older... and it was fun!! Matthew 5:3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." We are studying the Beatitudes at Countryside Bible Church and Pastor Tom takes his time setting things up in his message for us to study throughout the week.  Using the Bible my Dad bought Terry and me back around 1994, the interpretation brought the first part home.  BLESSED > HAPPINESS "Blessed" is larger and greater than "Happiness".  Seems like we are always chasing HAPPY in our lives.  You hear people say, "I just need some happiness.....

Movement of the Wind

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Movement of the Wind Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace  aka Elle Pace This is a smaller painting created with a palette knife  and left over paint from another canvas.  This is why the earth tones are rich with the colors that made it. Reminds me of the wild candy canes dancing before my eyes at Christmas with stripes and swirls.  I hope to paint as I finish this blog this morning.  We will see what God brings to my day! James 1:21 " Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you." James' writing has always been a heart tugger for me. It has brought healing in many ways.  He writes the raw truth and wants us each to trust in God.  Does this show up in your daily life?  We are all sinners, but those that trust God will turn from sin.  You can count on 'sin...

Two Pair is Four Pear

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 TWO PAIR is FOUR PEAR Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Blue Texas Skies . We closed out the All Star Season with our grandson this weekend and enjoyed each game with him. He has improved much over the past few weeks with some private coach training.  The painting... I loved the name, Two Pair is Four Pear . I went through a pear stage and even painted pears for the dining room... large and long fill of silver and gray and soft green pears with lush golds and caramel often with shades of blue.  Ephesians 5:25 "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her."  Married to someone I met at age 11, and he was 13... we have had many years of friendship and marriage.  This was another rough weekend with baseball, home chores and other family needs. I am very thankful for every day we have together left in this journey o...

Native Herd Sunrise

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Native Herd Sunrise Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Can you count them?  Pretty sure there are seven horses on this horizon. I usually work in odd numbers.  This painting sold from one of my galleries up in Park City, Utah.  I think it was painted in 2015 maybe?   When they leave for Galleries, I am not always good about marking the calendar!  What would you want on the horizon for a pack of horses? 1 Corinthians 16:13 "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong." Be strong and of great courage as Paul wrote  in his letter to church followers. It is the weekend ahead... and I would also say be on guard yet always stand firm in the Lord and your faith. He will provide exactly what you need.  A good friend told me you have to be strong and get outside of your comfort zone. As an artist, this is true. I have t...
