Annie's health has failed rapidly the past few days and we are faced with putting her down before we leave. It hurts but I know that is best for my dear dog.  She has been with me for almost 13 years.  Right now she lays on the floor at my feet in front of the fan. She cannot seem to stay still. She rises every 5-10 minutes and paces around and then settles back down again.  I thought it was the veggies Terry fed the dogs but I think her health is going rapidly. Excess drinking of water is the other thing that is occurring. God is good in all He has in His plans. Even with things we consider to be negative, He has positive things that will grow out of it. It may not be for us, but for someone that knows us and loves us...

Levi grumbled when Terry put a hole in the back brown paper on one piece but he redid it for us and we actually made it back home by 1:30 in the afternoon.  Good thing we did as both dogs decided the extra veggies Terry fed them last night did not agree with their constitution and they both had the runs.  We were airing the house out for hours...but all is good now. June's edition of Horseback Magazine .  I have truly enjoyed working with the wonderful staff at Horseback this past month when they contacted me about using Max and Lucky on the cover.  Contemporary Fine Art International even ran a equine art ad in the magazine this month. This magazine has a huge readership at all the horse shows.  I love getting art out to horse lovers! What makes midnight so different than noontime?   Wilson Pickett wrote that first well known song in 1965... In the Midnight Hour. In 1985 there was a show In the Midnight Hour.   It was a badly rated comedy horror romance. I am glad I missed that one. Even in the Bible it mentions the midnight hour. My brain is having a time wrapping around that one.  I entitled this painting Two on a Dead Run because of the energy of the horses trying to edge each other out.  There is strength pitted against conflict in the composition of these two horses vying for the lead. They are both in a dead run almost like Terry describes Italian car racing... you are in the zone... you never look backwards.  I am feeling 99% that I am finished with it. There are quite a few hours yet to be to travel with this one and I will wait patiently as I paint. I am in waiting for that inner feeling that my job is complete and the painting has reached the point of 'finish'. We all seem to do a lot of 'waiting' in life.
