No dpi The first step is to use Acrylics on the white canvas to tone it.  After it dries I use charcoal to sketch out the scene that I will be painting.  Contentment and Prosperity "If they obey and serve him, they will spend the rest of their days in prosperity and their years in contentment."  Job 36:11 We have a dam on our property.
