This season always brings memories of years past: grandchildren icing sugar cookies, warm cinnamon rolls made from my grandmother’s recipe, and family gathered together. Christmas Eve meant chili, cornbread, and music filling the house as my youngest son and I played guitars and sang carols. Over time, traditions changed. We moved to a smaller home, our children took on hosting holidays, and our house grew quieter. While change is part of life, it isn’t always easy. We miss the laughter, the noise, and the simple joy of grandchildren running through the house. The holidays also remind us of loved ones who are no longer with us. Most mornings I wake up with a list of to do things that cannot be completed.  Question is, are they purposeful things, or just piles of things that even if small, it sucks up 30 min or more.  Philippians 2:1-2  " Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,   2  then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind." I have to admit the number of emails I trash everyday is out of control.  I really need to take the two hours and unsubscribe to most of them. I painted and then piled more paint and then washed the canvas off late last night. The first layer was acrylic and way better than the oils...
