Morning Haze Ponies 3 ft by 3 ft  Oil on Canvas   SOLD  ©Laurie Pace    Graphics One Design 1998-2011   Contact me for your own commissioned painting: Laurie      LOOKING AWAY Sometimes we are literally too close to a situation to see it clearly.  We concentrate hard on every aspect before us. We always have an answer or comment...but it is from our vision of what is seen by our eyes and our mind. Take the time to look away from what has you captivated or worried. Lord knows you have analyzed it, worked it over at least twenty times or more and you have studied every detail and every scenario. You are so focused on the problem you are now apart of the problem instead of being or having an answer to the problem. Walk away and turn from it all. Give it to Him and plant the seed of faith that He alone has the answer. Laurie           "When we cry, "A...

As I did these words came to my mind and heart... Psalm 23  A Psalm of David.  The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters,   he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths    for his name’s sake. There are not enough words to express the relief of this rain today and the release of the heat. My marigolds are weeping and growing in abundance in their tub out back.  The pond...

I caught a glimpse on facebook postings of neighbors that everyone had been out in the cooler air and smiling this morning. I give thanks to God for this wonderful weather. They have discovered most of the east Texas fires have been set by arsonists. One has been caught, but another remains on the loose. I then saw a facebook posting that three people were shot in Justin, Texas where we use to live.  One was a police officer.  Our prayers are surrounding that community where we lived for seven years as well as the folks that lost their homes in these fires. I was outside with my camera this morning and cau...

I am late posting today and probably will miss posting tomorrow...but you never know. Much is happening and we are in and out of Dallas.   Today is another bruiser day of 105 degrees outside. I breaks records all the way back to 1930 they say.  Never been this hot this long and I think it puts our area way over 80 plus days of 100 plus temperatures.  A small cool front is due through for a bit more relief. I had jumped in with cooler weather and started walking up to four or five miles and I obviously injured my body doing it too quickly...so as the cooler weather does come, go easy as you begin walking again if you are in Texas. Terry spent the morni...

May God's grace bless you and ...

I bet you have a favorite pair of pajamas that make your world all better too.  Eventually ...
