“If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.” ― Terry Pratchett, The Wee Free Men

The 30% off sale went well this past week. The painting above, Indian Summer, was one that just left for it's new home.  If you see a painting on my website that you really really want, you need to use that CONTACT ME form on the website and tell me. I will make it happen for you. I can even get it shipped to you well before the holidays.  I might be willing to drop a little more off as well if you ask...

I laughed when I found the quote above. My Dad felt it totally important that you set your goals and you work toward them. You do trust in yourself along the way and if you set that goal you will follow to succeed in obtaining it.  Just speaking from my heart, my trust is in God and if He is in me, then yes, I trust in myself to stay the course.  We all have dreams and God even says repeatedly in His word that He wants us to have the things we desire in our hearts.  I do not believe those are 'things' to be bought, but 'things' desired on a different plane in your thinking. Hard work is something taught by example. There were no slackers in my family growing up and I am so happy to say, no slackers in my children or their spouses. Something I had hoped would reach them obviously did. Trust, Believe and Work Hard.

Preparation plays a huge part in being successful. Anticipating the pitfalls and the hurdles ahead and meeting them straight on with the Lord at your side will provide the success in taking on the world to meet your goal.
"Prepare the way for the Lord"

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned. Isaiah 9:2

Sunlit Bowl

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2025 Sunlit Bowl Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   A Painting of soft pink and white flowers   created in 2013 brings back memories of living at Lake Cypress Springs. I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. The mold pushed us back to DRY Dallas.  God guides our path today.  Memories are flooding in with the morning sun.  Proverbs 4:18    “ The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”  Today will be over 100 degrees but by Saturday the high is 79. Weather is the main talk these days. Remember I am in Texas.   We heard they may get snow in the Ohio River Valley. We are to see storms from the Pacific Hurricane coming our directio...
A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...
