"Feel like I have been absent... from life and from my studio. Caught Covid from our grandson next door... but slowly eating again.  I had great intentions the two days before I fell ill early on a Wednesday morning. In fact I was at the point of jumping in to work on some new pieces for a show in Denver... and I hope to get somethings drawn off today.  It has been a time of grit and determination. For three days I could not eat because I would throw it all up.  I dropped 7 pounds... and now I am trying to regain some back but not eating healthy as I normally do. Something about taste buds trying to work again! My poor hubby came down with it just as I was coming out of it all. The illness was three packed days...but then it took three more days to be able to stand and do anything small... and another three days to be able to clean house!  This morning I walked 1.5 miles at 4 mph... hope in the next few days to be up to 3 miles again.   My direction to you... stay away from 'kids' in early elementary school right now!  His family all had it too!"

TAKE HEART

This is usually the time of year I try to paint a few fun hearts, so this morning I began working on a few of them for fun.   Still torn between Oil and Acrylics for somethings!  The heart in the photo above is an oil heart.

John Ford Coley, Terry's first cousin, is performing in Arlington this evening. Morgan and Kelly are going but we are not. Night time brings us both to our knees in early prayer and early bed on this tail end of recovery.  Love JFC so much. He playin Niagara Falls last night.  Hoping we can see him soon.  Maybe at a family reunion. They did the last one on my birthday and we did not make to the farm to see everyone.

John Ford is FULL OF HEART!!!  Here is an old one for you....  What can I do with this broken heart?   Not sure I have heard it very often.  Click on the photo below to hear the Broken Heart older song!   MY true favorite song is HERE. I'm not talking about Moving In....

Missing you JCF!  Wish we were there with you.

A Bit of Wonder Contemporary Horse Oil Daily Painting Art by Laurie Justus Pace 24 x 30 x 2 inches of thick buttery oils! Contact me to purchase: Laurie "This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it". Psalm 118:24 It was a day of celebration yesterday as Lauren Gracen was born. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did. Terry was able to participate and he and Larry helped with pushing and getting Stacey upright for the process and then Terry was hon...

Arrival...Refrigerator?

© Laurie Pace        Graphics One Design 2024 Arrival Oil on Canvas  SOLD   by Laurie Pace   Proverbs 16:3 "Commit to the Lord whtever you do, and he will establish your plans."   Worrisome times laced with prayers.   The world seems like a scary place lately. Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...

It has to head to Mirada Fine Art in about three or four weeks... meanwhile it will be banished to the room with the dehumidifier in it.  Stay tuned at Mirada Fine Art with Steve Sonnen for more details about what is happening to this "crowd" from my Good People Series.  In fact, drop Steve an email and ask to be added to the mailing list for this special gathering.  Good food, good friends and good art.   What more could you want?
