"I took her hand in mine, and we went out of the ruined place; and, as the morning mists had risen long ago when I first left the forge, so, the evening mists were rising now, and in all the broad expanse of tranquil light they showed to me, I saw no shadow of another parting from her." Charles Dickens, Great Expectations
So this is a close up of the head of the horse...still in colors not the norm for me but truly enjoying the beauty of each of them. I was not going to use my knife, but i am most comfortable with my knife. Some things I cannot change so easily. I wanted this painting to have the feel of early morning mist and I am feeling pretty positive about it right now. The 'tranquil light' seems to burn through the fog of the early dawn hour. Stretching here... but not there yet.
"Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." Psalm 34:8
