Do not think I ever captured the true colors in this painting.  I believe this to be dark.  It is in fact much lighter. Happens in life all the time... our memory captures something and does not quite remember it as it truly was.  SO if I do not get a decent shot of a painting, the reality of what it was changes for me.  It is all an amazing process! See below is another version of it. Must be somewhere in the middle between the two.

I loved it there. It did not love me!  Mold was my downfall.  I was prolific at painting there with my studio looking over the waters of a large catfish pond and Lake Cypress Springs. Stacey began her labor around nine in the morning and was ready to push by 12:15, but they held her off while getting things set up. Took four good contractions with multiple pushes and the baby was there! All grandparents accounted for to count the toes and fingers! My admiration is for my daughter and her bravery and calmness despite the tension and newness of what she faced. I was honored to be there as the baby was delivered seeing my granddaughter push out into the light and take her first breathe... and then cry... and that she did.
