Quiet Evening with You

This is an older painting from about 2006.  I wanted to blog so I pulled an archive this morning. With thoughts of Valentine's Day on Friday, but the responsibility of chasing a four year old for the past three days... I would LOVE a quiet evening with my husband where I am not so tired that I fall asleep during the six o'clock news. #chasingchildren
Having Lady L here has really changed the 'pace' of the household.  This morning I was up at 5:45 to be ready when Larry dropped Lady L off to us for the new day.  Normally we are not up and moving before seven thirty, so it was a struggle getting those contacts in before my eyes were open.

 What I Have Learned:
 They stay energetic all day....


and till the late hours of the night and again in the early hours of the next day

EXCEPT

Except when they are in the car.
You can just about know within ten minutes of taking off they are nodding off in the backseat...but you can't rest then, you are driving and battling traffic keeping them safe.... as they sleep.

Arrival...Refrigerator?

Praying for everyone affected by the last two hurricanes.  My adventures today were the result of a dead refrigerator. I have loved my Kitchen Aid refrigerator very much. The first one in the 'French Kitchen' look died at 13 months. Hubby wanted the same refrigerator. Well this one made it four years and a few months. I cannot believe appliances are not made to last longer...but wait, is that because they make more money if we have to replace it in 4-5 years?  You replace your mattress at least every 7 years... and your washer dryer, you might get 7 years out of those... The stoves seem to make it closer to 10 years. We are Lowe's customers, and Robert ...
