Terry came blowing through the door late yesterday afternoon, dripping wet and full of grass, sweat and tears. Probably could add mosquitoes, ticks and other various things as well.
He had been outside giving Paddy a bath and a hair cut. For two and a half hours. Who would have thought one mid sized dog could cause so much ruckus? Personally I would have bathed him in the walk-in shower, but living out here in the country, critters seem to jump on other larger critters for faster transportation or for a food snack. I am out on that so bathing Paddy is on Terry's agenda list.
About an hour later I walked out of the the office to get some water and both of them were back in the house. The dog is literally jumping around like an overgrown jackrabbit. A wet Kerrie Blue Terrier is a site to behold. The once soft furry round dog is like a skinny wet overgrown puppy full of energy. Paddy was jumping from one side of the den and racing across to hop up into the air and spiral back around and down to race back across again. Actually thinking about it, he reminded more of a greyhound.
What would God have said? What does He say every day when He gets tired or exasperated with us trying to 'clean us up' like He did the Israelites? "I would rather stir up a thunderstorm than deal with this." Actually not in my mind. I think of Him as the ever patient Father who already knows the wrong direction we are going but must allow us that freedom and experience to shape us up in His fashion. I am glad He doesn't own a truck, He might be out washing it now instead of looking over all of us.

“But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”- 1 Samuel 16:7
"I would rather wash my truck." he bellowed as he grabbed some old towels.
